Yash, played by Sanjay Dutt and Raj played by Akshaye Khanna are small time goons and get into a lot of trouble. They rob a bank one day and the blame comes on the manager Zandulal, played by Paresh Rawal. The two crooks flee to Durban and Zandulal promises his boss he will prove that he is innocent.
In Durban too Yash and Raj rob diamonds. Meanwhile Raj falls in love with Sanjana, played by Kangana Ranaut and they plan to marry.
At the wedding ceremony Zandulal arrives and confronts them about the bank robbery. Due to the commotion, Sanjana and Raj’s marriage gets cancelled and her sister Kajal, played by Sushmita Sen gets a fit where she attacks her own husband Arjun, played by Anil Kapoor, who is a senior inspector. In the confusion the diamonds get thrown into a fish tank and the fish swallow them.
Dejected at having lost their diamonds, Yash and Raj now start a fishing business. The movie is written and directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Rajat Rawail, Anil Kapoor and Dr. B.K Modi. The music of the movie is composed by Sajid-Wajid, Pritam and Anand Raj Anand.
