Friends Paramu and Johnie are able to blame a local businessman named Unnithan for a murder that Johnie committed. Johnie is able to take control of a significant portion of Unnithan's hidden fortune with the assistance of a helpful police officer, and he goes on to become a prosperous businessman. While this is going on, Paramu continues to serve as a go-between for another businessman, McPherson, who wants him to conceal Rs. 1 crore (10 million) in unlawful funds for two months. The money is given to Johnie by Paramu, but the two have a falling out over Unnithan's daughter, who Paramu has a soft spot for but who Johnie has turned into a prostitute. When Johnie persuades McPherson that Paramu has fled with the money, the two work together to kill Paramu and recover the money.
