Omerta is a 2017 produced biographical crime drama film directed by Hansal Mehta and produced by Nahid Khan for the Swiss Entertainment and Shaailesh R. Singh of Karma. The film featuring Rajkummar Rao as the protagonist role of ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh . The film is based on the British terrorist of Pakistan descent and explores the 1994 kidnapping of the Westerners in India for which Omar is arrested who served his prison term for plotting the murder of Wall Street Journalist Daniel Pearl in 2002.
The film was showcased at the Hong Kong International Film Festival and the Busan International Film Festival. The film was released in India on 4th May 2018 and has received positive comments and remarks.
