The Maharastra government has long been debating the entry of hundreds of migrant Biharis into the state for employment. The political parties have taken enough advantages of this situation and created chaos especially during elections. The story of this movie, is based on true events that happened in Buxar district of Bihar in 2003.
The three main characters in the movie go through many struggles and are at constant war with the government. First is Rajiv Kumar, played by Kranti Prakash Jha who is an aspiring IAS officer. Second is Sankar Pandey, played by Deepak Singh who is a distraught graduate and third is Jeans, played by Ajay Kumar who is an aspiring singer and wants to make it big in Mumbai.
The three boys while out to fulfill their dreams come to terms with the fact that they will always have to struggle and it will be challenging to get anything done smoothly being a migrant from Bihar. Once Upon A Time in Bihar is directed by Nitin Chandra and produced by Neetu Chandra. The music is composed by Ashutosh Singh.
