Shoaib Khan, played by Akshay Kumar is feared and respected by all, now that he has killed his mentor Sultan Mirza, played by Ajay Devgn. He has extended his empire in the Middle East and still a womanizer. Khan now has few friends who he trusts like Mumtaz, his former lover, Javed who looks after his illegal activities and Aslam a slum boy he met. Khan returns to Mumbai to kill his enemy Rawal who opposed his dream of taking over the city.
Meanwhile Khan ends up falling in love with a rising actress Jasmine, played by Sonakshi Sinha. Later he sends Aslam and his aid Jimmy to murder Rawal but things go wrong and his girlfriend is killed and the police manage to nab Jimmy but release him with lack of evidence. Later on suspicion that Jimmy might have become a police mole, is killed by Khan.
Khan eventually proposes to Jasmine but she refuses saying that he is only a friend. An infuriated Khan gives her 24hours to accept his proposal. On reaching home, Jasmine sees her house is full of expensive gifts and her mother encourages her not to let go off such a powerful man. Aslam later meets Jasmine and tells her of his love not knowing that his boss has also fallen for her. She tells him that she has already got engaged and leaves. Later Khan gets a call that Jasmine has accepted his proposal and he is over the moon. Aslam is sent to pick her by car but when he reaches there Rawal’s men shoot Jasmine and she is taken to the hospital.
Khan swears revenge and tells Aslam to give them an address where they can kill him. On the right opportunity, Khan kills Rawal. He begins to celebrate their victory when one of his henchmen Dedh Tang mistakenly reveals about Aslam and Jasmine’s affair. He sends his men to kill Aslam but Dedh Tang alerts him and knowing this Khan kills Dedh Tang. Khan later finds the couple in Dongri and he confronts Aslam. Meanwhile the police receive information and reach there.Khan shoots and kills the police officer and then shoots Aslam and Jasmine.
The movie is directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. The music is composed by Pritam and Anupam Amod.
