Kaaya, played by Udita Goswami, lives in Spiti, Himachal Pradesh with her father. From childhood she has been taught that one day she will have to join the monastery, but she has never questioned this decision made by her father. Meanwhile as senior Lama from the monastery has a dream about their Buddhist teacher been reborn in Delhi. Kaaya is thus sent to Delhi to get the child. The child however witnesses a police officer's brutal assassination at a hotel and is visibly traumatized. The inspector who is investigating the case, Shiven, played by John Abraham, forbids Kaaya and the child from returning to Spiti.
The child then identifies Raj Mehra, played by Gulshan Grover as the killer. Meanwhile Shiven gets severely injured trying to protect the child and Kaaya and escapes to Spiti with the duo. There he receives treatment at Kaaya’s home. During this time Shiven and Kaaya get attracted to each other. Kaaya is however conditioned that attraction of this kind is a huge sin for her but she is unable to overlook the temptation. Meanwhile Kaaya’s father learns the truth and is furious at Shiven for polluting the mind of his daughter. Raj Mehra’s men come close to attacking Shiven and the child but that is soon gotten out of the way. Shiven and Kaaya soon confess their love to each other.
The movie is directed and produced by Pooja Bhatt. The story is written by Mahesh Bhatt, J.P Dixit and Niranjan Iyengar. The music is composed by Anu Malik, Shazad Hassan, Music Mushrooms and Ali Azmat.
