Sweety is a strong headed and rebellious girl, living with her mother, maternal grandmother and father. She is bullied at school about her father and doesn’t know his whereabouts. At home she isn’t allowed to talk about him and is frustrated about it. One day she learns that her father is living in Seychelles and runs away from home to meet him. When she reaches there, she is unable to find her dad and stays in a hotel, not knowing that her father too is staying at the same hotel. Sweety is shocked and infuriated to know that her father is living with another woman, who is divorced.
Sweety’s father is not excited to see that he has a teenage daughter, and see her interrupting his peaceful and happy life with the chaos and confusion. However she persists and wants him back in their lives and will do anything to take him. Meanwhile Sweety meets a handsome young man named Rohit and falls in love with him. The movie is directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Amit Khanna and Mahesh Bhatt. The music is composed by Rajesh Roshan and the lyrics are written by Javed Akhtar. The story and screenplay are written by Manohar Shyam Joshi. The star cast includes Jugal Hansraj, Mayuri Kango, Tiku Talsania, Navin Parihar, Alok Nath, Suhas Joshi, Dinesh Hingoo, Abhimanyu, Javed Khan, Karim and Reema Lagoo.
