Shamshera is a dreaded dacoit who has been torturing and wrecking havoc in the lives of the villagers. One day when Savitri’s sister is attacked by Shamshera and his lustful eye, a local man named Vijay saves her. Soon Savitri falls in love with Vijay and both make plans to settle down together. On the wedding day Savitri comes to know that she is pregnant and is overjoyed. Her happiness however is short lived as Shamshera comes to avenge his insult and kills Vijay. Savitri then gives birth to a baby boy who she is told was born still. She is devastated but moves on and marries Thakur Prem. She then gives birth to another son named Rajesh.
Many years later she meets a young man named Ravi who is an exact look alike of her late husband Vijay. When Prem finds out about Savitri’s past he is horrified and throws her out of her house. She then takes refuge with Ravi. Meanwhile Rajesh has been brainwashed by Shamshera and goes against his father as well as his half brother Ravi. The dacait is now happy to watch the two brothers fight it out and destroy eachother. The film is directed by Swaroop Kumar and produced by Dimppy. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri. The star cast inludes Mithun Chakraborty, Moushumi Chatterjee, Mandakini, Sumeet Saigal, Satish Shah, Navin Nischol, Amrish Puri and Divya Rana.
