Pataakha a fiery and furious film of two sisters living in a small village town of Rajasthan. Badki ( Madan) and Chhutki (Sanya Malhotra) squabble or quarrel about anything and everything from stolen bidis to broken phones, to clothes. Not being an average sibling rivalry, they literally want to choke each other. The strange and unusual rivalry forms the main Cruz of the film directed by Vishal Bharadjwaj, and is produced by him along with Rekha Bharadwaj, Dheeraj Wadhwan, Ishan Saksena and Ajay Kapoor. Released on September 28th 2018, the film touched the 30 crore at the Box Office.
The story is about Dipper Sunil Grover who is their nosy neighbor and is always on lookout for an opportunity to get Badki and Chhutki to get into a war against each other while their father Vijay Raaz, a single parent is trying his best to bring peace between his two daughters.
A film with a novel tale is grasping, fiery and strong with hard core Rajasthani dialogues that makes the film challenging for an average viewer. The two and half hour film is all about the brawl between the sisters and is inspired from the original story by writer Charan Singh Pathik. The audacity in which the sisters deal with each other is interesting and make a unique film overall.
