Mridula, played by Raveena Tandon is a head-strong and independent girl. She goes to college with her closest friend Swati, played by Juhi Parmar. They both are almost inseparable. Their families then get them married to their respective chosen grooms. Mridula marries Milind Khanna, a lawyer’s son and Swati marries Ajay Lal, son of a top politician. Mridula has taken up law herself and soon learns that her best friend Swati was found dead and she might have committed suicide. Mridula is devastated at the news and learns of the circumstances surrounding her friends death and thinks it might be a murder.
Mridula reads Swati’s daily diary and is assured that her in-laws and husband have killed her after harassment and torture. She fights Swati’s case herself and vows to give her justice. Unfortunately, her father-in-law is fighting for the Lal’s and her husband asks her to drop the case but she refuses. Her mother-in-law encourages her to fight for justice. Mridula has to now uncover the truth and put herself and her unborn child in grave danger from the Lal family.
The movie is directed by Shrabani Deodhar and produced by Raveena Tandon and Prakash Khubchandani. The music is composed by Daboo Malik.
