In a remote rural area in India Thakur Avadh Narayan Singh, played by Om Puri is furious at a man who has filed a police complaint against his two sons Bacchu and Bhola. The man who made the complaint is a poor village labourer named Rudra, played by Sanjay Dutt. Rudra’s nine year old daughter Durga was abducted, beaten and raped by Bacchu and Bhola. Rudra will not let anyone or anything stand in his way till he gets justice for his daughter. Meanwhile Tahkur Avadh bribes the doctor who is making the report of Durga to tamper with the evidence and make a false report.
Rudra has to now not only fight the brutal Thakur and his evil sons, but also the medical system and the police authorities, who have all been bribed. The movie is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and produced by Avinash Adik. The music is composed by Anand Raj Anand. The cinematography is by Vijay Arora and the choreography is by Saroj Khan, Chinni Prakash and Remo. The star cast includes Nandita Das, Mita Vashist, Om Puri, Siddhartha, Sachin Khedekar, Anjan Srivastava, Sachin Suvarna, Vineet Srinet, Atul Kale, Tanvi Hedge, Sagar Samrat Thawani, Shivaji Satam, Salil Ankola, Mink, Anpama Verma and Kalpana Pandit.
