The story of this movie revolves around new trainees of the police force who want to do their job selflessly and honestly but are unable to do so due to the corruption prevailing within the system. Mr. Pandey, played by Amrish Puri is the senior most Police officer assigned to train several recruits. These recruits have the potential to be senior police officers but only a few can cut the mark. One of the trainees is Vijay, played by Akshay Kumar who comes from a middle class background and is aspiring to be a dedicated officer who is ready to fight to keep the honor of his country. However a corrupt politician named Ratan Sethi, played by Raj Babbar challenges the political system, while senior officer Bhonsle, is hand in glove with the dishonest ministers.
Mr. Pandey, however teaches the trainees to be honest and give their life to their motherland if need be. He is entangled in the web of deceit and corruption. He and Vijay then join forces to fight the corruption within the system. The movie is directed by Dilip Shukla and produced by Kulbhushan Gupta. The music is composed by Anand Milind and Satish Ajay Gogavale. The cinematography is by Pramod Fatak and choreography is by Chinni Prakash.
