A young woman named Karuna Sharma is brutally killed in her house and it is assumed that she committed suicide. However when inspector Shahnawazis put on the case, he proves that there is more than meets the eye, and it is a case of murder. The killers getsShahnawaz transferred and another inspector is put on the case. Inspector MaharSingh, is a corrupt officer and on the payroll of the killers, thus he proves it is a suicide case and closes the case. Karuna’s family is devastated and wants to re-open the case as they know she couldn’t have committed suicide.
Then honest and diligent CBI officer Jagmohan Azaad is assigned Karuna’s case. He is known to never have failed the victims family in finding the real killer. The killers are now nervous and losing the case. The film is directed by Esmayeel Shroff and produced by Vijay Mehta. The music is composed by Ram Laxman. The story is written by MoinUd Din. The cinematography is by Pramod Mital. The star cast includes Raaj Kumar,Naseeruddin Shah,Kabir Bedi, Poonam Dhillon and Reema Lagu.
