Poorna belongs to a poor tribal family from the Nizamabad district of Telangana state. Her parents are farm laborers and have a measly income. She is talented and intelligent and thus joins the State Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society to study further. Her skills and talent is spotted by the honest society secretary named Praveen who nurtures her passion for studying and achieving. On his behest she is authorized by the chief minister Kiran Kumar to join the Operation Everest. She trains hard for it, and on 25th May 2014, becomes the youngest girl in the world to climb the Mount Everest at the age of 13 years and 11 months and makes history.
The movie is directed by Rahul Bose and produced by Rahul Bose. The music is composed by Salim-Sulaiman. The cinematography is by Subhransu Das and the story is written by Shreya Dev Verma and Prashant Pandey. The star cast includes Rahul Bose, Aditi Inamdar, Dhritiman Chatterjee and Heeba Shah.
