When we set out to find the good in evil, there is a struggle and battle within that will leave us exhausted. But humanity sometimes takes over everything else and the good side can become prominent in its own way. The story of Prassthanam is based on this ideology of fighting the good and evil side within everyone. Baldev Pratap Singh, played by Sanjay Dutt is a brutally righteous politician, who will not take no for an answer and fight to make his way through every hurdle he is put into. He lives with his wife Saroj, played by Manisha Koirala and two sons; an adopted son Ayush, played by Ali Fazal and his own biological son Vivaan, played by Satyajeet Dubey.
Baldev Pratap Singh has a soft corner for Ayush as he feels he is more like him where he wants to do things just the way Baldev does. Ayush idolizes his step father and wants to fill in his shoes someday. However this is not taken very well by his own blood son Vivaan, who is jealous of the closeness Ayush and his own father share. He wants his father to appreciate everything he does and only have praises for him more than Ayush, but it never happens. This envy leads to more sinister things that will consume the entire family into destruction.
Prassthanam is directed by Deva Katta and produced by Maanyata Dutt. The music is composed by Ankit Tiwari, Farhad Samji and Vikram Montrose. The cinematography is by Ravi Yadav.
