Sanjay Verma is a wealthy and handsome eligible bachelor. There are many girls who are crazy after him but he is seeking the girl that he sees in his hallucinations often. In his visions he sees himself as Shantanu. He is now desperate to find the girl of his dreams and find out the truth. He thus goes to a small community and meets a girl called Sonia. He immediately recognizes her as the girl from his visions and her name is supposed to be Lachhi. He now only wants her in his life and tries hard to convince her of their past but she is not impressed. She is in fact engaged to be married to another man named Vikram. Sanjay now has to make Sonia understand his dilemma before it is too late.
The movie is directed by Satish Kaushik and produced by Boney Kapoor. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The story and screenplay is written by Javed Akhtar. The cinematography is by Baba Azmi.
