Karan Singh a wealthy young man who lives in a palace with his widowed mother, his elder brother and his family. His real mother spent most of her time playing cards and living a carefree life, Karan was left with his nanny whom he starts believing is his mother. Being a neglected child he grows up into a womanizer and alcoholic who comes to the rescue of an airhostess Lata who is being molested by her employer. He appoints her as his secretary and gives accommodation to her and her family. As the days go by, Lata tries to reform Karan off his bad habits and eventually they fall in love. He builds a beautiful palace calling it Prem Nagar. Lata leaves the palace in humiliation on being accused of stealing the valuable necklace. Karan finds out the truth and seeks forgiveness from Lata but it is too late. She decides never to return to Prem Nagar and Karan is once again left to deal with the struggles of his life and goes back to his addiction and his health worsens. Will the lovers unite again in their Prem Nagar?
