Prem Patra is an Emotional-Romantic Family Thriller Drama Film crafted with excellence by Bimal Roy and written by Nitan Bhattacharya. The Story revolves around the life of- Arun Kumar (played by Shashi Kapoor)- A kind-Hearted boy studying in the college who gets into a misunderstanding over a love letter with a sweet girl- Kavita Kapoor (played by Sadhana), and this causes him to leave college and town. Arun's parents arranged his marriage with Saroj Chowdhary (played by Seema Deo)- A beautiful girl- the cousin of Kavita. Things get complicated- when he mets with an accident losing his eyesight and Saroj refuses to marry him and Kavita came forward to take care of him , leading to consequences.
