Ajay lives a middle class lifestyle and works as a photographer. He falls in love with the wealthy Preeti and they soon plan to marry however her father Bhanu is against the marriage. When Preeti is relentless, Bhanu puts a condition to Ajay that the latter must come to stay in their house and not the other way round. Ajay flatly refuses. So Bhanu hatches another plan and gets him a promotion in his career and he gets a huge
increment. Soon Ajay finds out that he has got the promotion not of his own accord but due to his father-in-law. This hurts his sentiments and the newly married couple separate. Soon Preeti finds out that she is pregnant and Bhanu does not disclose this to Ajay. He makes it look like she wants a divorce from him and tells Preeti that he is adamant about a divorce. Soon Bhanu takes her to the mountains and there she delivers a baby boy. Ajay then meets Bhanu and comes to know of his child. The latter tells him he can take the child on the condition that he never see his daughter again. Meanwhile Preeti thinks that she has given birth to a still baby and loses her sanity. Soon her child grows up and sees her one-day. He takes her to Ajay and they unite once again. The film is directed by Vijay Sadanah and produced by K C Bokadia. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The star cast includes Mithun Chakraborty, Padmini Kolhapure, Danny Denzongpa, Vickey
and Bindu.
