Amar is a talented young man but he is dejected due to lack of a lucrative job. He thus moves to Delhi and searches for a job as a singer and lands in a posh hotel that is owned by Rukmini and her daughter Sangeeta. He gets the job there and soon Sangeeta and Amar fall in love and get married. Very soon the couple have twin girls Kiran and Jyoti. Then rumors start that Amar is having an affair with the chef’s daughter. One thing leads to the other and Amar and Sangeeta part ways. Amar then decides to take Kiran and leave while Jyoti stays with Sangeeta.
Years pass and Amar has become a successful ad agency owner. The twin girls have now grown up and meet at a outdoor vacation. The girls then decide to switch places and make their parents reconcile. Things get complicated when Jyoti finds out that her father is having an affair with Kiran’s dance teacher.
The film is directed by Anil Ganguly and produced by Suresh Grover. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri and the story is written by Anil Ganguly. The screenplay is by Sachin Bhowmik. The star cast includes Rishi Kapoor, Padmini Kolhapure, Bindu, Deven Verma, Utpal Dutt, Gulshan Grover and Asha Sachdev.
