Working in the big city has given Soni a bad name and reputation. She belongs to a small village and the people of the village now have doubts on her character as she frequently keeps visiting the city. In reality Soni is working as a garment manufacturer and she doesn’t feel a need to explain herself to the ignorant villagers as she knows that she is doing nothing wrong. The only one who seems to understand her is a well known doctor of the area named Dr. Rehman. He takes care of everyone with charging any money. His good friend Dr. Kumar is rich and successful and wants his son Anand to visit the village and help. When Anand visits the village he is mistaken for the new doctor. However seeing Dr. Rehman’s health he decides to stay temporarily.
Soon Anand and Soni fall in love, but the former wont reveal his emotions to her and ignores her. She persists but he keeps rejecting her. Things might just change for the better soon. The film is directed and produced by Saawan Kumar and the music is composed by UshaKhanna. The screenplay is written by B BBhalla and the story is written by Sawan Kumar. The star cast includes Ashok Kumar, Shashi Kapoor, Vinod Mehra, Rekha, Jagdeep and Bharat Kapoor.
