Sharad is a public prosecutor and strongly advocates the death penalty for anyone who is found guilty of a heinous crime. He lives a lavish lifestyle with his son Kumar, ex-lawyer wife Savitri and daughter. Kumar, a law graduate, falls in love with Kiran the daughter of a newspaper owner Named Mathur. The latter is strongly against the death penalty and so is Kumar. Sharad however convinces Mathur to get the couple married. Kumar however decides to play a little prank on his father to teach him a lesson and falsely implicates himself in the murder of a prostitute. He collects all relevant evidence and leaves it with his friend. Things unfortunately don’t go as planned and Kumar is found guilty, while his friend with all the evidence is killed. Kumar is now sentenced to be hanged to death.
The film is directed by Ashok Gaikawad and produced by Salim Akhtar. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and the cinematography is by Anwar Siraj. The star cast inludes Aditya Pancholi, Kiran Kumar, Sangeeta Bijlani, Shakti Kapoor, Amjad Khan, Raza Murad, Vikram Gokhale, Satyen Kappu, Pinchoo Kapoor, Mac Mohan, Anjana Mumtaz and Jamuna.
