Raajneeti is a 2010 political thriller film written, produced and directed by Prakash Jha and had an splendid ensemble star cast consisting of Katrina Kaif,Naseerudin Shah, Ajay Devgn, NanePatekar, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal , Manoj Bajpayee and others. The movie marked the social political conditions of our country from a man who is left to avenge his father’s death.
Raajneeti begins with the daughter of a powerful politician who Katrina Kaif who rebels against her father’s political leftist ideologies. However their relationship results in the birth of a baby which her brother dumps off. Later she marries of yet another politician but later the story takes a huge leap with major political rivalries, conspires and plotting going on to be a major element of the narrative.
Rajneeti was a phenomenal success among the critics circle and the critics cited the lead actor’s performances, the novel story line and exhilarating filmmaking on show. The movie was rated as one of the best political movies to have come out of Bollywood in the year 2010 and the movie also emerged as one of the highest grossers of the year and was a money spinner.
