Shanaya, played by Bipasha Basu, is a film actress at the top of her game. All her films are super hits with her wining every movie award. Her career is just perfect along with her personal life, as she is dating handsome and successful movie director Aditya, played by Emraan Hashmi. Just when she feels invincible a new actress Sanjana, played by Esha Gupta comes into the picture. She starts getting recognition and her films do much better than Shanaya’s. Shanaya’s career begins to fade away in front of Sanjana’s and the envy makes her do black magic.
Shanaya takes the help of her tantric uncle who calls an evil spirit Tara to destroy Sanjana’s career. He asks Shanaya to give Sanjana a poison to drink in the hands of someone she trusts, so she convinces Aditya to do it and he reluctantly agrees but later stops seeing it as wrong. Shanaya hatches another plan where she publicly humiliates Sanjana. Aditya infuriated by her behavior enters the spirit world kills her tantric uncle.
Seeing the love between Aditya and Sanjana, and accepting her deafeat, Shanaya commits suicide by pouring acid on herself. The movie is directed by Vikram Bhatt and produced by Mahesh Bhatt. The music is composed by Jeet Gannguli and Rashid Khan.
