Seth Bhagwandas is a wealthy man and lives with his only son Raj. When on his death bed, Seth writes a will and passes away, leaving all his property and estate to his arrogant and irresponsible son Raj. The latter is infatuated with a girl named Maya and wants to marry her. Seth knew this and deliberately added in his will that Raj must marry any girl except Maya, and she will be the equal owner of the property. Failing which the estate shall be given to charity. Raj and his crooked friends now devise a plan to cheat the will and make things their way. So they find a sickly girl to marry who will anyways die soon and then he can marry whoever he wants. So Raj and his friends go to an orphanage and meet a poor girl called Rachana and convince her to marry him. Left with no choice she agrees and they get married. Raj however is aloof and does not acknowledge Rachna’s presence in his life. He waits patiently for her to die but she falls in love with him and does not die. He ends up fracturing his leg and she nurses him back to heath. This makes them close and Raj too falls for Rachna. Soon Maya’s aunt exposes Raj’s real agenda behind marrying Rachna. Hearing this it breaks her heart and she leaves him. Raj now wants her back in his life more than ever.
The film is directed by Satish Kumar and produced by Girdhar Bhatia and Pravin Paul. The music is composed by C K Chauhaan. The star cast includes Anil Kapoor, Jazu, Deepak Shankar, Beena, Gopi, Mammoothy, Mohanlal and Srividya.
