Amar lives a middle class lifestyle and works as a tourist guide in beautiful Kashmir. He meets and falls in love with Bhavna who works as a receptionist in a big hotel. He is however afraid to tell her and takes her sister Sangeeta’s help to tell her. He then finds out that she too loves him. Later Sangeeta befriends a young man named Vicky who has a questionable character. Amar warns her and asks her to stay away from him, even having an argument and fight with Vicky. Unfortunately after a few days, Amar has a terrible accident and falls off the cliff and dies.
Bhavna goes insane hearing this news and is devastated. She slips into depression and cuts off from everyone. Meanwhile a man named Pavan comes to Kashmir, who is a look-a-like of Amar. Sangeeta convinces him to meet Bhavna to get her better and out of depression. Meanwhile Bhavna realizes that Pavan is in love with Sangeeta and Amar’s death was not an accident but he was murdered. The film is directed by Ravi Tondon and produced by Ravi Malhotra. The music is composed by R D Burman and the story is written by Mirza Brothers. The star cast includes Rishi Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Padmini Kolhapure, Suresh Oberoi, Prem Kalra, Rajendranath and Ashalata.
