Rana Mahendra Pratap is a wealthy man who dots on his younger sister Madhu and would like her to marry a rich and influencial man Abhishek just like him. Madhu however is already in love with a middle class man named Raja and she wants to only marry him. Rana is enraged at hearing this but hatches a plan. He agrees to Madhu and Raja’s marriage and asks Raja and his brother Brijnath to prepare for the marriage. The whole family is delighted that the lovers will finally be together. Raja meanwhile has to travel for some work.
When Raja returns home, he is shocked to hear Madhu telling him that Brijnath tries to molest her and she has a narrow escape. She not only gets Brijnath arrested but warns Raja that if he wants to get married to her, he must disown his brother or forget her forever. Raja is in a huge dilemma as he trusts his brother and cannot believe he could do something like that. He has to now seek the truth.

The screenplay is written by Praful Parekh and Rajeev Kaul. The film’s story is written by NaushirKhatau. The star cast includes Sanjay Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Ashok Thakeria Kapoor,Mukesh Khanna,Dalip Tahil,Mustaq Khan,Paresh Rawal, AmitaNangia and Himani Shivpuri.
