The Maharaja is unable to bear that the government will soon take away his kingdom and he will be left with nothing, he commits suicide. His only son Jaipal resumes as the throne and decides never to hand over the kingdom to the government at any cost. Meanwhile Dhirendra Singh takes up the position of the superintendent of police and gets into the bad books of Jaipal. He then gets transferred to another town. His father wants him to get married to Thakur Pratap’s daughter Janki. Dhiren meets and falls in love with Janki but she has already given her heart to Manu Singh. On the day of the marriage however Janki gets abducted by Jaipal’s nephew but is shot by Manu. A pregnant Janki goes to Dhiren. Manu is arrested. Meanwhile Jaippal sets his eyes on Manu’s brother Bhanu’s lover Kamli and gets her pregnant. He then refuses to marry her. An ashamed Kamli refuses to communicate with Bhanu. He then comes to know that Jaipal had killed his dad and soon becomes a bandit and names himself Bhawani. Years later when Manu is released from prison, and he goes to hunt down Bhawani, not knowing that it is his own brother. The film is directed by Vijay Anand and produced by Mushir Riaz. The music is composed by Laxmikant Kudalkar and Pyarelal. The star cast includes Dharmendra, Rajesh Khanna, Vinod Khanna, Hema Malini, Ranjeet, Nasir Hussain, Iftekhar, Kamal Kapoor, Om Shiv Puri, Sapru, Tej Sapru, Darshan, Tina Munim and Ranjeeta.
