Siddhant Rai, played by Rishi Kapoor is a wealthy widower and lives with his three children. He has tried keeping many caretakers and governesses for his children but the pranksters always drive them away. He then arranges for another girl called Anna, played by Kajol to be their governess. Meanwhile a conman named Shekhar and his associate Jadu have just robbed a bank and are on the look out for a big loot, when they come across Rai’s househols. He sees Anna and tries to win her over but with no luck. He starts to think that she is wealthy and lives in Siddhant’s house. The kids initially dislike her but warm up to her.
Anna soon reciprocates Shekhar’s feelings and the two plan on getting married. Sadly Siddhant gets killed in a car accident and the kids are to be sent off to their cruel uncle’s house. Just then Shekhar comes in saying he is their uncle and court grants him the custody. They call him ‘Raju Chacha’. Later when the cruel uncles attack them Shekhar saves them even though later he is exposed. Anna and Shekhar tie the knot and adopt the three kids.
