Ram Balram is directed by Vijay Anand and released in 1980. Starring Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan as Ram Balram. In the lead roles are also Zeenat Aman and Rekha, Ajit, Amjad Khan and Prem Chopra.
Ram and Balram Singh are two brothers who live with their parents and lead a happy normal life.. Their uncle Jagatpal kills the boy’s parents for their wealth and lies to them that the parents were killed in an accident and he decides to raise them himself. While he educates Balram to become the police officer, he trains Ram to become a mechanic. Jagatpal has a hold on both the boys and are expected to give their earnings to him .
Jagatpal has a plan up his sleeves and he tells his plans to the brothers after Balram returns as the full fledged Police Officer. He wants Ram to do smuggling while Balram as the Police officer will protect him from getting arrested. He warns the boys that if they don’t agree by his plan he would beat them up as he did when they were young.
Ram becomes one of the biggest smuggler in partnership with Amjad Khan while Jagatpal becomes very wealthy from Ram’s illicit gains. The brothers fall in love and everything goes by Jagatpal’s plans. However one day the mother of these two boys return and tells the boys the real truth behind Jagatpal raising them and how she and her husband were to be killed while the father succumbed to the killing she survives . Both Ram and Balram come together and fight for the injustice and the cruelty on their parents and taking their revenge on his action.
