Dhaan, played by Ajay Devgn and Raj, played by Prashant Raj Sachdev, both work as bodyguards for a top politician. However, their boss gets accused in a series of scandals ands scams. They then get assault cops who harass them and flee to Mumbai for better prospects. They then get employed by a dreaded gangster named Shambhu. A police inspector named Narsimha, played by Mohanlal gets a hold of Dhaan and Raj and asks them to help them nab Shambhu red handed if they want to go scott free and they agree. Shambhu is arrested by the cops but the duo also get implicated in a crime themselves.
Inspector Narsimha this time asks Dhaan and Raj to help him in nabbing a notorious gangster Babban Singh, played by Amitabh Bachchan who has wiped out his family. They agree but for a reward of Rs 8 Lakhs. They then relocate to the village of Kaliganj, where Dhaan falls for Ghungroo and Raj falls for Narsimha’s son’s widow Durga. One Diwali day they get hold of Babban but he escapes and stars slaughtering Kaliganj people to make the duo surrender. After a long combat Dhaan and Raj manage to kill Babban and get their reward.
The movie is directed and produced by Ram Gopal Varma. The music is composed by Ganesh Hegde and Prasanna Shekhar. The cinematography is by Amit Roy.
