Ramdas lives a poor lifestyle with his wife Savitri, daughter Sita and son Ganesh who is physically disabled. They struggle to make ends meet. Ramdas is getting old and is soon about to be retired. Seeing the mounting expenses in his home, Ramdas goes to his company manager and asks for an extension of his employment but is refused. He then returns home wounded and with a girl named Ganga who he claims is his daughter. Shortly after, he passes away and Ganga looks after the family. Ganga then comes to know that Sita is seeing a man called Vijay
and goes to meet his brother. She is shocked by what she finds and life will never be the same again for them all again. The film is directed by Sharan K Chand and produced by Dilip Khanna. The music is composed by Hridayanath Mangeshkar. The star cast includes Vijayendra Ghatge, Neeta Mehta, Rajni Sharma, Javed Khan, Jagdeep, Om Prakash, Om Puri and Sulochana.
