Peturam is a sensitive, honest and compassionate man, who falls in love with Radha. He goes to her home to propose to her but her elder brother laughs at his request and semands that he earn atleast Rs. 10,00,00 before he can think of marrying his sister. A confident Peturam decides he will achieve his target and not return before that. He goes to the city and starts his career by driving a taxi. He then buys several lottery tickets but is unable to get any luck. Then one day destiny smiles on him when he meets a film maker who offers him a film. The film
fortunately becomes a huge success, making Peturam, now known as Ram Kumar a big star and millionaire. Ram then returns to his village to ask for Radha’s hand in marriage. To his shock, he comes to know that she has already married another man and is soon expecting his child. The film is directed by P Madhavan and produced by Harish Shah. The star cast includes Sanjeev Kumar, Rekha, Prem Chopra, Narendranath, Sudhir, Shammi Kapoor, Vinod Mehra, Sachin and Lalita Pawar.
