Revati, played by Kashmira Shah is a rag picker in Mumbai. Even though she is uneducated and poor, she is street smart and knows her way around people to get what she wants. However, life hasn’t been very kind to her. She has had to struggle with a lot of things that most people don’t even consider and are given for free. She craves simple things like having a bath, wearing clothes that cover up her body, a decent meal to fill her stomach. All these are the luxuries of the rich and she feels her destiny isn’t worthy of all this. But she still dreams of big things, there is no limit to wishing and dreaming. That is one thing that is truly her own.
Her dreams almost come true, or so it seems when she comes in contact with a drug smuggler and get her chance to make big bucks. However she realizes that it isn’t so easy to get rich and she will have to give away her dignity, self respect and a lot more to achieve that. She might be poor and desolate but Revati was not undignified. This is her battle against the evil world who want to shatter a woman’s character right to its core.
