Shankar is an honest and hard working laborer at a construction company. Being the union leader he wants the owners to make enough provisions for the safety of all workers. Before he could present his demands to the bosses Shankar is accidentally killed at work. This affects his son and wife deeply. His son Rakesh especially is so traumatized that every time his mother speaks to him he is reminded of his father’s tragedy. She is thus asked to stay away from him. He is thus adopted by a catholic couple named Robert and Kathy. They rename Rakesh as Rocky and love him dearly. When Rocky grows up, he has no idea who his biological parents are thinks Kathy and Robert are his real parents. He soon falls in love with Renuka and later comes to know the truth behind his parentage. He is also shocked to know that his father didn’t die in an accident but was murdered. He not swears revenge on the culprits. The film is directed by Sunil dutt and produced by Amarjeet. The music is composed by R D Burman. The star cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Reena Roy, Tina Munim, Amjad Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Ranjeet, Keshto Mukherji, Aruna Irani, Shashikala and Raakhee.
