Avinash is a brilliant M.A student and has very idealistic opinions of life. He is not flattered by materialistic possessions and does not care about the modern outlook of most people of his generation. Being the son of a wealthy landlord, he remains unfazed by his family property and leaves everything to work as a part time writer and a simplistic life. His sincere outlook of life makes one of his classmates Geeta fall for him. She too
comes from a rich family but does not care of riches. Soon the two get married and Geeta is overjoyed to be expecting their first child. Avinash is now suddenly pressured by his extending family and finds the finances not enough. Avinash thus joins a publishing house of one of his friends. Soon he turns into a conniving and ruthless businessman who has no time for his wife. This breaks Geeta’s heart as he had turned exactly opposite to what he was before marriage. Soon the couple separate. Avinash slowly realizes his mistake and attempts to get Geeta back in his life. The film is directed by Raman Kumar and produced by Dilip Dhawan. The music is composed by Kuldip Singh. The star cast includes Farooque Sheikh, Deepti Naval, Satish Shah, Iftekhar, And Sudha Chopra.
