Tony and David grow up being deprived of their father’s love as he died when they were very little. Soon their ailing mother too passes away. They are left to fend for themselves. A kind aunt decides to send them to a government school but only one of them will be able to study so David decides to send Tony and he becomes a gravedigger to make ends meet and make his brother a doctor. Soon Tony becomes a doctor but the mounting fees is a big hurdle and he thus comes to the village to meet David and tell him about the donation. David gives Tony a gold chain with their pictures in it and promises to pay the Rs 1 lakh donation.

 

David is worried as to how he will get the money. Every money lender wants to guarantee, which he doesn’t have and is thus turned away. One night a group of men come to see David and ask him to bury a body without a death certificate. He refuses to do so but when offered Rs 1 Lakh he has second thoughts and agrees. Soon he asks him mother for forgiveness while standing in front of her grave. But a wind blows the money from his hand and the gold chain he gave his brother is revealed. Turns out the body he buried is of his brother Tony. David is devastated and goes to the city to find out what exactly happened in the last few days of his brother’s murder.

 

The movie is directed by Sudhir R Nair and produced by Shivkumar Damani. The star cast includes Mithun Chakraborty, Pooja Batra, Kasmira Shah, Homi Wadia, Mahavir Shah, Ishrat Ali, Liliput, Sachin, Helen and Aruna Irani.
