The daily newspaper ‘The Truth’ is one of the widely read papers and Karan Kaul is its editor. He is well known and respected by his senior as well as juniors. His work and dedication is an inspiration for the aspiring journalists and editors. Karan falls in love with a beautiful Swiss born Indian girl named Greta Saunders and both plan to marry soon. Just when things were going perfect for him, circumstances take a drastic turn when Greta is found murdered. Karan is devastated and to add insult to injury, his foot prints are found at the crime scene thus he becomes the prime suspect in her murder. Karan has to prove his innocence soon.
The film is directed and produced by Dev Anand. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and the story is written by Dev Anand. The dialogues are written by Dilip Pardesi and the cinematography is by D K Prabhakar.
