Sahibaan is a poor village girl who lives a happy-go-lucky life. She is in love with a poor village boy named Gopi. One day Sahibaan accidentally enters the home of Kunwar Vijay and he is infatuated by her. He goes to her parents home with sweets. Jewelry and clothes to get them to marry their daughter to him. Her parents are surprised to see so much wealth and agree to the wedding. However Sahibaan clearly states that she wants to marry Gopi, to which her parents get furious.
Vijay hears about Gopi and goes after him to kill him. Sahibaan tells her parents that Vijay tired to molest her and is an alcoholic. Hearing this her parents refuse Vijay’s proposal and try to get her married to Gopi. However they forst have to locate him. The film is directed by Ramesh Talwar and produced by D K Chawl. The music is composed by Shiv Hari. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Armaan Shahabi. The star cast includes Rishi Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonu Walia, Bharat Kapoor,Kiran Kumar,SatyenKappu,Javed Khan,Tinnu Anand,Mangal Dhillon,Sudhir Pandey, Anjana Mumtaz, Beena Banerjee and Manjeet Kullar.
