The story of the movie revolves around 6 couples who go through their own challenges. Their lives and individual stories get intertwined together in end. The first couple is Kamna, played by Priyanka Chopra and Rahul, played by Salman Khan. She is an aspiring actress who wants to make it big, thus changing her name to Kamini. She also lies that she is in love with a man called Rahul to attract the attention of a director. Later when Rahul really appears she is in a dilemma. But later gives up her career to be with him as she too falls in love.
The second couple is Gia, played by Ayesha Takia and Shiven, played by Akshaye Khanna. Shiven is commitment phobic and thus runs away before they are to get married. Her father then arranges her marriage to another man. But eventually Shiven realizes that he still loves her and cannot be with anyone else and marries her. The third couple is Seema, played by Juhu Chawla and Vinay, played by Anil Kapoor, who are a 40 something couple with two children. He finds his life is boring and has nothing to look forward to until a young 20 something Anjali, played by Anjana Sukhani enters his life. They have an affair but soon he leaves her to be with Seema.
The fourth couple is Ashutosh, played by John Abraham and Tehzeeb, played by Vidya Balan. She is a Muslim news reporter who one day loses her memory after a horrific train accident. She is unable to remember Ashotosh but he still persists on being together. They later unite like how they used to be. The fifth couple is Raju, played by Govinda and Stephanie, played by Shannon Esra. They meet when taxi driver Raju mistakenly drops Stephanie to the real Taj Mahal instead of the Taj hotel. She is trying to get to her lover Rohit who is about to marry another girl. Eventually through their journey, Raju and Stephanie fall in love.
The sixth couple is Ramdayal, played by Sohail Khan and Phoolwati, played by Isha Koppikar. The newly married couple want to get intimate but their large family in a cramped up home doesn’t allow them to do so. Finally they get their quality time when they get a full train compartment to themselves. The movie is directed by Nikkhil Advani and produced by Mukesh Talreja and Sunil Manchanda.
