The film is based on the emergency that was declared by the government in 1975. The then PM Indira Gandhi’s political opponents were arrested and the press was censored. Many other atrocities were highlighted during that difficult period, which included the mass Sterilization campaign. The film then centers around the arrival of the very first mobile phone and how everyone was chasing after it. The mobile allowed people to manipulate the system as well as escape the surveillance in the process.
The film is directed by Navneet Behal and produced by Kabir Lovee. The music is composed by Sandeep Madhavan. The star cast includes Kay Kay Menon, Tom Alter, Pravessh Rana and Kirti Kulhari.
