Sunil lives a middle class lifestyle with his mother. His father however left them many years ago when he was just a child. His father Ramlal has now changed his name to Manoharlal and has become a wealthy man and takes care of his friend’s daughter Nisha. Sunil and Nisha meet when the former’s friend is ragged by Nisha’s gang. To take revenge he plays a prank on her. They begin to dislike each other. Soon Sunil gets a job at Shimla and leaves. The hotel where he stays he comes across Nisha once again and have a tiff there too. Turns out Sunil has got a job in his own biological father’s home Manoharlal but they both don’t know it yet. Meanwhile a criminal Wilson gets his own son Robinson to pretend to be Manoharlal’s long lost son. He accepts Robinson as his real son and arranges his marriage to Nisha. Meanwhile Nisha and Sunil fall in love. He realizes that he is Manoharlal’s real son but cannot convince him. His mother later tells the truth to Nisha. Soon the culprits are nabbed and the two lovers unite. The film is directed by Narendra Bedi and produced by Barkha Roy. The music is composed by R D Burman. The star cast includes Kamal Haasan, Ranjeet, Kader Khan, Jeevan, Reena Roy, Seema Deo, Krishna, Lamba Patel, Guddi Maruti, Kumar Gaurav, Birbal, Jagdeep, Viju Khote, Raj Kishore and Kumud Tripathi.
