Raja is the son of Surajbhan who is a wealthy Thakur in his village. He meets Madhu in college and after some initial misunderstandings, they become friends. However Madhu has developed feelings for Raja but he has no interest in her. Little does Raja know that Madhu is the daughter of Shamsher Singh, his father’s sworn enemy. It so happens years before, Surajbhan had broken Shamsher’s sister’s heart and she committed suicide. This made the two each other’s rivals. Soon Madhu confesses to loving Raja to her parents, and when her father comes to know about who Raja’s father is, he warns her to stay away from him. Her mother however feels sorry for her and goes to speak to Raja’s mother and get their children married ending the feud.
Raja meanwhile has fallen in love with Pallavi, a village poor girl. When Shamsher comes to know that Raja has no intension of marrying his daughter, he is furious and sets Pallavi’s hut on fire. She survives the fire and realizes what is at stake and lies to Raja that she isn’t in love with him. Later in an ensuing fight Shamsher accidentally shoots Madhu, which he aimed at Raja. Dying in her father’s arms, she asks herfather to end the feud with Surajbhan. The film is directed and produced by Lawrence D’Souza. The star cast includes Ajay Devgn, Karisma Kapoor, Ayesha Jhulka, Amrish Puri and Danny Denzongpa.
