The story of this film revolves around the life and struggles of freedom fighter Sardar Udham Singh. This biopic highlights the revolution he brought into India after he murdered the former lieutenant governor of Punjab in London, taking revenge for the tragic Jallianwala Baug massacre in 1919 in Amritsar. The revolutionary was then convicted of the murder and subsequently received the death sentence and hanged in July 1940. The film will revisit India’s pre-independence time. The film is a Shoojit Sircar directorial and is produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar. The film is written by Ritesh Shah and Juhi Chaturvedi. The music of the film is composed by Ajay-Atul and the cinematography is by Avik Mukhopadhyay.
