Arjun Singh is a diligent police office who has gained himself the reputation of being merciless and crude with criminals. Most fear his anger and don’t want to get in his way. A young man who has been arrested by him however, dies in his custody and all hell breaks loose. He is given severe warning and transferred to a small town for his deeds. Arjun however has pleaded not guilty to killing the young man and is willing to go to any lengths to prove his innocence. However it is too late and people around him condemn him for such a heinous and brutal act. The man’s sister is now seeking revenge for her brother’s murder.
Arjun is now left hopeless as he finds out that the dead man was his neighbor and everyone holds him responsible for the murder. Arjun takes heavily to alcohol and finds peace and solace in the arms of a beautiful prostitute named Seema. The film is directed and produced by Raj N Sippy. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri. The star cast includes Vinod Khanna, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Madhavi, Shakti Kapoor, Asrani, Anupam Kher, A K Hangal, Om Shivpuri, Satyen Kappu and Sudhir Dalvi.
