Born in a wealthy family, Shanam Mausi, played by Ashutosh Rana overcame great challenges in his life. Just after he was born a group of hijras come to bless him and realize that he too is a hijra and rejoice. His family then sends him away to live with his own kind. His family however, still love him and give him support despite his condition. Another hijra in the group meanwhile kills Sabnam’s brother in fury. The murder is blamed on Shambnam.
Shabnam is forced to go into hiding and relocates to a town far away. There she saves a young girl from being sexually assaulted by a group of goons. Her heroic act makes her popular in the town. She then decides to drive away a corrupt politician from his current office by being the first hijra to contest in the upcoming elections.
The movie is directed by Yogesh Bharadwaj and produced by J Manoj and Sudesh R Bhosle. The music is composed by Mani Shankar, Dilip Harikishan, Kanak Raj and Sujeet Chaubey. The cinematography is by Karim Khatri. The star cast includes Sujeet Chaubey, Divya Desai, Vijay Raza, Govind Namdev, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Vivek Shauq, Mukesh Tiwari, Avtar Gill, Paintal, Ashok Samrath, Amit Chitre, Bahadur, Brijesh Tripathi, Jr Mehmood and Pappu Polyester.
