The Diwakar family is compassionate and generous, as they adopt an orphan named Tabrez Khan. The family consists of inspector Raj, his wife Shobha, son CHintoo and brother Devdutt. In an ensuing encounter one day, Raj is killed and Devdutt decides to take his place and joins the police force. He works hard and is frowned upon by his seniors for his honestly and courage. He also comes to loggerheads with Tabrez. Tabrez then leaves home to also join the police academy and returns only after he becomes the Sub-inspector. However things are not the same as before. Shobha is missing, Chintoo is dead and to make matters worse, Devdutt has taken to the life of crime and is the most wanted criminal on the police list.
The film is directed by Rajan Johri and produced by Shakil Khan. The music is composed by Ravindra Jain and the cinematography is by V Subba Rao. The star cast includes Raja Bundela,Pankaj Kapoor, Hema Malini, Alok Nath,Girija Shankar,Raj Babbar and Supriya Pathak.
