Senior inspector Hanuman Singh, played by Nana Pateka is feared by his police team in Delhi and thinks he’s not a human at all. He has encountered and captured many violent and dangerous criminals and has made a reputation for himself. Mohit Kumar has just joined Singh’s team and told of his notorious nature and how he fears no one only God.
Meanwhile Singh confronts a land mafia king Chaudhary and his men and kills them, however two men manage to escape. The news of the escape and encounter spreads like wildfire and news channels come to capture the details. He uses the camera of a journalist and pretending to be a cameraman asks the hiding men to come out and shoots them point balnk.
When asked about the incident by the media, Singh simply says that’s they were wanted terrorists and gets away with it. At another incident Mohit manages to save Singh’s life just in the nick of time. Singh senses the danger to his family and sends his wife and son to New Zealand.
Terrorist and aids of gangster Bunty Bhaiya, played by Anurag Kashyap to release him from jail, kidnap three journalists. While the journalists are released the terrorists are shot dead by Singh. Mohit later saves the life of Singh once again when he’s shot by another gangster and admits him to the hospital.
Mohit later dies in a car chase while Singh is shot dead by one of his aids. Shagird is directed by Hussain Shaikh and produced by Nana Patekar, Mohit Ahlawat, Rimi Sen, Zakir Hussain and Anurag Kashyap. The music is composed by Abhishek Ray.
