The film is based during the time of India’s partition. A Sikh Ex-soldier named Boota Singh, who served in the British Army wants to get married but hasn’t got a girl for a very long time. One of his associates promises him a girl from UP/Bihar for Rs. 2000. Thus a hopeful Boota Singh starts to save for his bride. One day Boota Singh rescues a Muslim girl named Zainab, from some goons who ask her of Rs 2500. Boota instead tells them he has only 1800 and manages to get rid of them. Now all his savings have been taken away and he is devastated. Meanwhile Zainab has no where to go, thus she stays with Boota Singh.
Meanwhile Zainab and Boota fall in love and decide to get married, especially after the villagers object to her staying with Boota. Boota’s dreams of having his own family are finally fulfilled. Boota’s jealous and evil uncle who wanted all the wealth and estate of an unmarried Boota isn’t happy about his marriage and one day informs the police that a Muslim girl stays in their village. When the women are being deported, Zainab too is dumped into the truck and sent back to her house. Boota is horrified and sells his land to look for Zainab, but sadly her relatives beat him up and Zainab backs off under pressure. This breaks Boota’s heart and with his daughter, he jumps in front of an oncoming train and dies. His daughter however survives.
The movie is directed by Manoj Punj and produced by Manjeet Maan. The star cast includes Gurudas Man, Divya Dutta, Raghuvir Yadav, Aroon Bakshi. The music is composed by Amar Haldipur.
