Shekhar, played by Sanjay Kapoor is married to Nandini, played by Karisma Kapoor and they are settled in Canada with their little son Raja. Shekhar hears of violent break outs in India and thus decides to visit his family back in Bihar. Nandini is shocked to see Shekhar’s father Narsimha’s Patriarchal attitude and the backward thinking they have. The family is embroiled in gang wars and violence every other day. Shekhar who despises the violence, tries to end it but unfortunately gets killed by a rival gang.

 

A devastated Nandini decides to leave India for good with her son away from the blood and gore, but her over bearing father-in-law does not allow this and virtually imprisons them inside the house. Nandini then takes help from a man named Jai, played by Shahrukh Khan to escape from her ruthless father-in-law. She then boards a train to Jaipur after which, Jai is killed by Narsimha’s men. Left with no choice, he bids an emotional goodbye to his daughter-in-law and grandson and lets them go back to Canada.

 

The movie is directed by Krishna Vamsi and produced by Boney Kapoor and Sridevi. The music is composed by Ismail Darbar and Mani Sharma. The cinematography is by Sethu Sriram.
